Call for Papers: EAHN2022

We invite all interested SAHGB members to share this call and to submit proposals for this exciting panel at the EAHN 2022 bi-annual conference.

The session is dedicated to  “Diplomatic Architecture and Changing Power Relations from Imperialism to Post-Colonialism” and will be chaired by Professor Fredie Floré and Professor Anne-Françoise Morel.

The aim of this session is to study the impact of both the geopolitical processes of imperialism and decolonization on diplomatic architecture and to discern how these major geopolitical events influenced architectural exchanges between receiving and sending state, as well as between old powers and newly founded nation-states.

Please be aware that the abstracts should be submitted directly to EAHN by September 6, 2021. The proposals should contain no more than 300 words and should be submitted through the conference platform, along with the applicant’s name, email address, professional affiliation, address, telephone number and a short curriculum vitae (one page, PDF format). The session chairs will notify all persons submitting abstracts of the acceptance or rejection of their proposals by October 15, 2021.
