External: Fully funded Masters programme places at QUB, Northern Ireland. Higher Level Apprenticeships

Queens University, Belfast, is offering places as Higher Level Apprenticeships in its Planning programmes. There are two fully-funded programmes available:

  1. MSc City Planning & Design is a a specialist RTPI and RICS accredited programme with urban design and planning routes.

  2. MSc Planning & Development a conversion Master’s for students with no planning-related undergraduate degree that is accredited by the RTPI and RICS.

Fees to complete the programmes part-time (one day a week over two years) are covered for employees working for Northern Irish companies in planning-related sectors including architects’ practices. The Department for the Economy, which is funding the scheme, will expect the staff member to be released a day a week during term time and given a new job title on successful completion.

Cognate disciplines, which should have a clear relationship to the subject offered, like geography and architecture, would be considered for an applicant’s undergraduate qualification. Work experience may be considered in the interpretation of whether an offer can be made.
