Dr. Ing. Marianna Charitonidou has shared news of this event with the SAHGB for the launch of the book Architectural Drawings as Investigating Devices: Architecture’s Changing Scope in the 20th Century.

The event is to take place at the Goethe-Institut Amphitheater in Athens on Monday 22 January at 18:00.  More information about the book can be found on this website

The authors, Dr. Ing. Marianna Charitonidou (Senior Lecturer and Senior Researcher in Architecture and Urbanism at the Athens School of Fine Arts), Prof. Konstantinos Moraitis (Professor Emeritus at NTUA), Prof. Anastasios Kotsiopoulos (Professor Emeritus at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), Prof. Lois Papadopoulos (Professor Emeritus at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) and Prof. Dimitris Frangos (Professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) will speak about the book. The event will be moderated by Manolis Oikonomou, who is editor-in-chief of Archetype Architectural Magazine. This is open to the public and will be followed by a wine reception. 

The book diagnoses the dominant epistemological debates in architecture and urbanism during the 20th and 21st centuries and is based on extensive archival research in Canada, the USA and Europe, and will be of interest to architects, artists, researchers and students in architecture, architectural history, theory, cultural theory, philosophy and aesthetics.
