The SAHGB for Students

The SAHGB is an organisation of people of all ages and in all parts of the British Isles and abroad, united by an interest in architectural history, including:

• academic and professional architectural historians; 
• architects;
• undergraduate and postgraduate students of architecture and architectural history – and students of other subjects with an interest in architectural history.

... assists with funding PhDs;
... gives prizes for an essay on any subject of architectural history;
... organises an annual residential conference based each year in a different part of the British Isles;
... holds an annual full-day symposium with papers on a set theme;
... awards student bursaries for both the conference and the symposium;
... publishes the annual peer-reviewed journal Architectural History;
... circulates a newsletter three times a year with book reviews, articles and updates;
... arranges regular, expert-led study days at sites of interest ;
... presents an annual lecture by a distinguished architectural historian.
