The following awards were made in 2007.
A grant to assist with the cost of illustrations in ‘The English Country House Chapel – Building a Protestant tradition’ by the late Dr Annabel Ricketts.
Margaret Stewart for her book ‘Axis and Vista: European vision in the architectural, urban, and constitutional planning of the Earl of Mar, 1701-1732’
David Haney for his book ‘When Modern was Green: From Garden City to Ecological Settlement, The Work of Leberecht Migge (1881-1935)’
Daniel Maudlin for his book ‘The Highland House Transformed: architecture and identity on the edge of Britain, 1700 – 1850.’
An Annabel Ricketts Bursary was awarded to Arnold Pacey for his book ‘Medieval Architectural Drawing: English Practice and its Post-Medieval Persistence.’
The Alice Davis Hitchcock Medallion, presented annually to authors of outstanding contributions to the literature of architectural history, was awarded to Dr David Robinson for his book “The Cistercians in Wales: Architecture and Archaeology 1130-1540”
The Society’s Essay Medal, presented annually, was awarded to James Maxwell Stevenson of the University of Essex on the topic “Architecture or Devolution: Eugenics and Le Corbusier’s biological analogies”.
The President’s prize was awarded to Ann-Marie Akehurst for her essay ‘Wandesford Hospital: York, Colonel Moyser and the Yorkshire Burlington Group.’
At the Annual Lecture held in November 2007, the Society made Sir Howard Colvin and Bridget Cherry Honorary Patrons of the Society.
