The Society Of Architectural Historians of Great Britain
The Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2006, warmly welcomes membership applications from individuals from all walks of life who are interested in the history of architecture of all places and in all periods of time.
Our newsletters, symposia, field-based conferences and study days and overseas study trips provide opportunities for the exchange and discussion of ideas about this subject, while our journal, Architectural History, is one of the world's leading English-language publications of original research and significant source material related to historical architecture.
We provide bursaries for research students and established scholars and each year we award the 'Hawksmoor' Essay Medal and the Alice Davis Hitchcock Medallion to outstanding student essayists and book authors respectively.
